Heading to the Moon

This maybe an aircraft, flying somewhere over the UK, but in my head it’s a rocket, heading out into space.

Last week there was a crescent new moon near Venus, low in the western sky, with the Earthlight clearly visible. It made me think of the key characters in Selenium, heading off to the Moon. No spoilers as to what happens there, you’ll just have to read Selenium!

It also reminded me of that classic science fiction novel from Arthur C. Clarke called Earthlight - well worth a read, even if it was originally published in the 1950s.
